Members of the Swiss collaborative group have expertise and experience in researching this element of care. Individual members are represented on the EAPC Research Group on Prognostic Factors in Cancer and have been involved in published research regarding prognostic factors (Glare, PA et al (2004) 'Diagnostic accuracy of the palliative prognostic score in hospitalised patients with advanced cancer' Journal of Clinical Oncology 22 (23) pp. 4823-4828.)
They also have experience of leading and co-operating on projects at a national and international level (eg. a government-funded national survey on the needs of severely ill and dying patients in Switzerland and leadership of the dissemination of the LCP in Germany, Switzerland and Austria).
