WP Lead: Dr Ruthmarijke Smeding
Dr Ruthmarijke Smeding has a PhD in Educational Science and has specialised in the area of palliative care and bereavement care. Her work in bereavement care has involved close collaboration with volunteer services, specifically in relation to education and training for this group of people. In 2005 she became a visiting Education Fellow to the Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool. She has previously been involved with some of the current beneficiaries in successful EU 5th Framework-funded project exploring mobile hospital palliative care teams across Europe.
